Chaos Storm is awesome. I use it to scatter mobs that are too close(it doesn't always work in high level areas) and when my tank heroes have boxed in foes to deal damage in addition to my degen + status(Rotting Flesh ftw!!). I do wish it were a bit bigger or at least maintained its size until it ends.

You use tank heros? Well that pretty much makes anything you have to say on the subject of Chaos Storm worthless...

WHAT? Do you have any concept of this game at all? Its the worst energy denial skill in the game. Giving it exhaustion is possibly the most ridiculous thing you could ever do, its just asking for A-Echo/Echo/multi mesmer abuse to completely shut people down.

Well yes, but almost totally from a PvE point of view.
Chaos storm works very well in PvE and i dont really care what it does in PvP or player shutdowns. The fact PvP has so much say on PvE skill use is issue enough already.

the last time I've used Chaos Storm was in AB. I cast it at capture points to either to kill off those 'dumb bunched up together' npcs faster or act as a ward to not let opponents get any nearer to shrines. And 15 energy for a mediocre mesmer spell is a joke. Either lower its energy cost to 10 or enlarge it's AOE range.

Make it cast in 1/4 second and cause daze for x seconds on each pulse.

Chaos Storm
15 Energy, 2 second cast time, 15 second recharge
Spell. Create a Chaos Storm at target foe's location. For 10...30 seconds, that foe and all adjacent foes lose 3...7 energy per second. Foes casting spells lose an additional 3...10 energy per second.

Eh? Maybe?

I like the fact that choas storm actually does damage (the main reason i use it).
I think adding a condition like dazed or weakness for anything inside its AoE would be cool, but otherwise keep it as it is...or just reduce its energy cost to 5 and leave it at that.

Maybe have it steal energy instead of the foe just losing it along with larger radius.

Good call, especially since the mesmers other energy recovery skills were nerfed (like a certain elite that now really does nothing more than the basic skill).
